The move to slash the fees for foreign medical graduates who wish to complete their internship in Tamil Nadu has brought a lot of joy, but it is one man who is behind this decision. It is David Pillai. He is the chairman of one of the most well-known medical FMGE/NEET coaching institutes in India, Kings International Medical School. In collaboration with Davao Medical School Foundation, this institute enables deserving candidates from different parts of India to pursue MBBS in Philippines at a very low cost.

Dr. Pillai, Chairman of Kings International Medical Academy, has always been known for his philanthropic nature. After the reduction of internship fees for foreign medical graduates, he has become a hero to all international students. This is not the first time that he has brought about a change in the system.

After completing medical studies abroad, students had to undergo an internship program at a fee of Rs. 3, 54,000 at Dr. MGR Medical University for their further practice in India. Undeniably, this imposed major monetary stress on pockets for the foreign medical graduates. Students seek David Pillai's help so they don't have to undergo a costly internship at Dr. MGR Medical University.

David Pillai further added that at Kings International Medical Academy realize, that the right to quality education is a fundamental human right and we work hard to ensure that students from around the globe have access to our extremely affordable medical coaching programs. With David Pillai K at the helm, the KIMA institute helped 3000+ aspirants to achieve their goals.

David Pillai is a man of determination. He is a man who has dedicated his career to helping others gain knowledge, skills, and the qualifications they need to succeed in their field. When Dr. Pillai met Health Minister Subramanian, he gave him a letter asking him to lower the fee.

He added that it can become burdensome for the foreign medical graduates because they have already spent a lot on medical college. Following David Pillai’s appeal, the honourable minister has finally accepted Dr Pillai’s request. The medical internship fee at Dr. MGR Medical University, Tamil Nadu has been slashed to Rs.29, 400 currently, effective from 1st February 2022.

David Pillai the renowned educationalist encourages students at the Kings International Medical Academy, to participate in several CSR activities. This, he believes, will help the medicos know the reality and be more responsible.

Sending out his message to the students, he said, “Kings International Medical Academy in association with Davao Medical School Foundation will mentor you academically as well as socially to make you a competent, confident and well-balanced doctors tomorrow.”
