National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a single-level entrance exam for aspiring medical students willing to pursue MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, and BHMS) courses in India. NEET was proposed by the Medical Council of India in 2012. Its first phase was held in May 2016. The National Testing Agency (NAT) conducts the exam under the guidance of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
The
National Medical Commission (NMC) announced on March 9th, 2022, that it has
removed upper age limits for candidates who take the National Eligibility cum
Entrance Test (NEET-UG) in 2022. The upper age limit for applicants of the
general category was 25 years, while those applying from the SC, ST, and OBC
communities were required to be 30 years old by the time they sat for the test.

will apply to the NEET (undergraduate) entrance examination starting 2022.
