The students must be an Indian citizen, an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India), or an NRI (Non-Resident Indian). The students must have passed the +2 exam from an Indian board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as required subjects. A candidate must achieve at least 50% in the qualifying examination in general category students, 45 % in General-PH category applicants, and 40% in the case of SC/ST & OBC category candidates. Candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission on December 31, 2022.

There is no restriction in the number of attempts for a candidate to write the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.

Yes, there is a negative marking in the NEET entrance exam. 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer or if a student marks two answers for one question.

Yes, students with a gap of 1 year between Class 11& 12 can appear for NEET. Earlier, the students with a 1-year age gap were not allowed to appear for NEET, but after the judgment by Delhi High Court, the restriction is no more in practice.

There is no upper age limit for a candidate to appear in NEET.

No, 12th board marks or its percentage will not have any effect on NEET admission. But a candidate must have 50% in the 12th board exam as one of the eligibility criteria to attend NEET.

In NEET 2022, candidates can appear in any one of the listed 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati,  Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and Punjabi.
